Ray Ray’s Pledge Hosts Vehicular #Heatstroke Public Outreaches for National Heat Awareness Day 2015
Safety device giveaway, Thunderclap, social media conversation planned for Friday, May 22
Ray Ray’s Pledge (www.RayRaysPledge.com) will commemorate the National Weather Service’s National Heat Awareness Day tomorrow, May 22 2015. The organization will provide free Bee-Alert child reminder safety devices (www.Bee-Alert.com) at this year’s Safe Baby University resource fair at Manor High School. Ray Ray’s Pledge will also host a Thunderclap vehicular #heatstroke prevention lunchtime message (a social media flash-mob style crowd-speaking platform; https://www.thunderclap.it/about), with a current social reach of nearly 220,000 people as of press time. The organization will also post hourly facts and prevention tips related to child vehicular #heatstroke, the leading non-traffic cause of death for children under the age of 14 (follow the conversation by searching the tag, #heatstroke, throughout the day and share/ retweet the messages to help spread awareness). The goal of this endeavor is to increase public awareness of child hot car deaths (vehicular #heatstroke), an often unrecognized and commonly misunderstood danger to child passenger safety.
