URGENT! URGE CONGRESS TO SUPPORT UNATTENDED PASSENGER REMINDERS IN HOUSE TRANSPORTATION BILL

URGENT! For all of the Texans out there, we need your help ASAP!
please help us in our mission to end child hot car deaths by writing and/or calling the following members of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology----URGE them to support the child vehicular heatstroke study/follow-up actions noted in Section 504 of the Senate's version of the Transportation Bill: "unattended passenger reminders". ... The House will be voting on JUNE 30 so timing is critical. Please remind these two Texans that Texas leads the nation in child hot car deaths, with more than half of the cases occurring because a child (commonly sleeping) was forgotten in the backseat. 1 in 3 cases occurred due to failure to drop the child off at daycare in Texas. Only a minority of cases involve bad parenting, where the child was intentionally left behind in a vehicle. PLEASE HELP TODAY! CONTACT INFO:

Rep. Ralph Hall (R-TX), Chair of the Science, Space, and Technology committee –
Kyle Oliver, Legislative Director, Kyle.Oliver@mail.house.gov
Washington, DC telephone number 202.225.6673

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Ranking Democrat, Science, Space and Technology Committee the contact is her Legislative Director, Caryn Compton, Caryn.Compton@mail.house.gov
Washington, DC telephone number 202.225.8885
